Research Grant

About the research grant program

The JHTS launched the program in 2015 as one of the support programs for its members. The program is intended to increase opportunities for research on hand therapy and to support basic research and clinical research to help advance hand therapy, including discovering new knowledge necessary for hand therapy, developing hand therapy techniques, discovering evaluation methods for hand therapy, and demonstrating the effects of hand therapy.

Eligibility

1. The applicant must be a member of JHTS for at least three years.

2. The applicant must have paid the annual membership fee.

Study abroad support

About the study abroad support program

The JHTS launched the program in 2016 as one of the support programs for its members. The program is intended to develop therapists who can play an active international role in research, clinical practice, and education in the field of hand therapy and therapists who engage in the management activities of the JHTS to make an international contribution.

Eligibility

1. The applicant must be a member of the JHTS for at least three years and have paid the annual membership fee.

2. The applicant must have been accepted by the host institution and be able to submit for review a copy of the documentation of acceptance from the institution specifying the name of the institution and the period of study.

Plans supported by the program

The JHTS provides financial support for the following plans:

1. Long-term study abroad

2. Short-term training at an institution abroad

3. Study tours to visit institutions abroad

Support for Attending International Scientific Meetings

About the support program for attending international scientific meetings

The JHTS launched the program in 2019 as one of the support programs for its members. By providing financial support for attending international meetings to JHTS members who present their research at the meeting, the program is intended to promote research activities and to enhance the JHTS function to develop therapists who play an active international role.

Eligibility

1. The applicant must be a member of the JHTS for at least three years and have paid the annual membership fee.

2. The applicant must be the lead presenter at the international meeting.

3. The applicant must not receive any other financial support, including support from the JHTS support or grant programs, external funds, or payment for attendance from the institution the applicant works for.

2. APFSHT

3. Other international scientific meetings related to hand therapy that are approved by the JHTS Board of Directors
